MICHAEL PHELPS DID IT
HE'S GOT 8 GOLD MEDALS
YAY
his 7th gold yesterday was so OMG
he won by 1/100 of a second
it was like 50.58 and 50.59
i thought initially that Cavic won
but then they showed Phelps as no. 1
SUCH A RELIEF
WHOA
and his 8th gold today
my goodness
so happy for him
but wells
its the last day of the swimming events
there is still one more long dist one
but it won't be at the water cube anymore
quite sad
all the excitement and anticipation
all ends today
sighs
when will i see Phelps again
LOL
watched the 40km running event this morning
the wr owner was like struggling so much due to age and injury
she is 38 already i think
so sad
but the winner rocks
she was leading most of the way
and by quite a large margin at that
she's also 30+ i think
so good for her
i mean like
40km in 2 hrs 24 mins ++
that's like
WHOA
alrights
am looking forward to all the gymnastic and jumping events now

Olympics Fever

Whoots !!!
Olympics have been great so far
i watch basically almost all the events that they show on chnl 5

my 3 fave female gymnasts won in the indv all round finals
Nastia Liukin totally rocks my socks she was my fave throughout
she has got such great lines
and she looks great on the beam and bars
Shawn Johnson is the absolute cutest
she's friggin 16 lar and she's so full of talent and power
Yang Yiling is uber entertaining to watch
what can i say
they were all outstanding

and the man everybody's looking out for
Michael Phelps
i do hope that he achieves his goal of 8 golds
he's just a great swimmer (all are great of course but he's in a class of his own)
and if he doesn't i'd be rather heart broken for him
i do like Kirsty Coventry as well and hope she does well
she keeps getting silver
and Natalie Coughlin rocks too
her wr was broken by Coventry during the heats
but she came back to get the gold
and of course there is also Rebecca Soni, Laszlo Cseh, Arkady Vyacthanin and
JASON LEZAK who totally blew everyone's minds in the 4 x 100m relay

and there is the table tennis team semis
Singapore Vs South Korea
MY GOODNESS that totally rocked my socks
Feng Tian Wei totally won it for Singapore with her wins on both her singles matches
you could see Li Jia Wei was a little peeved when she lost to Kim Kyung Ah (might i mention she lost to her in the bronze medal match 4 yrs ago)
and Wang Yue Gu totally lost to the outstanding performance by Dang Ye Seo
seriously
the South Korean team rocks too
they were totally determined and totally rocks too

a month passed by w/o me noticing

breaking out of my cocoon
i look around and realized
everything, including me, has changed
seasons come and go
now being rather more humid
then when i went into slumber
i look to the sun to give me strength
then flapped my wings and took off
it's been a long time
but the wait was so worth it



yes
as you can see my measly attempts at metaphorical writing has failed
the discussion in my mind this morning being whether i was more of an arts or science person
the arts side citing my usually poor results at science subject as its main argument
whereas my science side cites my interest in science subject
in the midst of the heated discussion i barged in
why can't i be both ??
my mind went blank for a moment
and i gave up
i'm neither
i suck at both

am now rather addicted to sudoku
addicted meaning i think about whippin out my ds and playing sudoku whenever there's nothing nice on tv

oh yes i forgot
today is sharmin's b'day
